Spring Has Sprung in Federal Way!

Spring is upon us here in Federal Way and there’s lots to see and do! This is the season when the Rhododendron Species Botanical Garden is at its peak, with the world’s largest collection of rhododendrons from around the globe showing off their colors. Visit on Mother’s Day weekend for the Blue Poppy Day, celebrating an incredible, powder-blue, delicate poppy from the Himalayas that makes its annual display at this time. Nature springs forth at the West Hylebos Wetlands Park, with a dazzling display of native flora and fauna visible from an unforgettable wilderness experience in the city along this park’s acclaimed boardwalk. And with Spring come the lowest tides of the year, drawing visitors from all over to Dash Point State Park and Federal Way’s other Puget Sound beaches for excellent beachcombing, tide pool exploration and beach strolling during these exceptional low-tide events! Enjoy Spring in Federal Way!
